The attached file shows many php errors.  This was a completely default installation. A symbolic link from /var/www --> /usr/share/phpldapadmin

I don't think that the code base has been updated to cope with PHP5.3.
Despite what people say, that can be a quite a job to remove the deprecated
messages. It is best to simply modify your php.lnl to ignore deprecated
errors.
error_reporting = E_ALL & ~E_DEPRECATED
http://php.net/manual/en/migration53.deprecated.php has the details of
what triggers it
