Ah yes - you are right - senility creeps ever onward - I remember now, it was a later Docbook DTD
that *really* caused trouble (but I didn't know that at the time).

However, I think my comment that a working copy of all the Known-Good utilities might avoid others
getting equally or more confused.

Writers of Quickbook docs should not need to know all this.  I fear that the toolchain complexity is
putting people off using the toolchain and that everything was can do to make is easier is a Good
Thing.
