Hi all, I'm looking for good references (pdf ?) for solving the Sylvester equation AX + XB = C. I can't find those on wikipedia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sylvester_equation http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sylvester_equation) because I don't have access to publications stores like ACM or JSTOR from work (neither from home). One of the standard methods is described in http://dl.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=361582 Does anybody have a good algorithm for solving or a paper describing it ? Many thanks, David
