a question about gsoc2018 project 1

 hello,
I am a student intended to participate in gsoc 2018.
In project 1's description, one of the goals is
"distributions with many sort of histograms".

I wonder if it means an algorithm which automatically choose a sort of
regression lead to the smallest cost. Are we going to draw a  graph?
