Raster Sources example

Hi!
I have a function that provides a color for a given position:

Color get_color(Point &p)const;

where Point is a convenience class for the double x and y user coordinates
in the 2D space.

I think it is possible to generate a surface image from that function using
the Raster Sources [1] API
Is there any practical example of that?
