Printing of vector graphics?

Hi,

there is a really good example available at
http://www.cairographics.org/documentation/using_the_postscript_surface/that
demonstrates basic drawing of vector data.

But: how can I send these data to a printer instead of drawing them onto
some canvas? Is there a similar example or documentation available
somewhere that is able to help if somebody is completely new to Cairo?
