Hi everyone, I'm happy to announce the official release of a new desktop application from Daylon Graphics, *renderSight Scripter*(tm). It's a PostScript-like IDE for developing vector graphic images that uses the Cairo library for rendering. You can code your scripts in a tabbed multi-document window, set properties and arguments, and render to multiple resizable preview windows. You can save out full 32-bit PNG files with alpha channel. All application windows are modeless, so workflow is very smooth. The documents that renderSight Scripter saves can be uploaded as-is to my new website, rendersight.com. This site acts as an image library capable of rendering out customized versions of searched content. The more parameters you use in your scripts, the more ways in which site visitors can render them out. In the coming weeks, the site will be modified to accept scripts for publication, and then everyone can share their creations with everyone else (yay). renderSight Scripter is free, and you can download it from http://www.daylongraphics.com/download/renderSight_scripter.zip There's no standalone installer, sorry; for now just unzip to an empty folder named "renderSight Scripter" in your Program Files (x86) folder (or wherever convenient). If you want to learn more about renderSight Scripter without running it, it's full documentation is available online at http://www.rendersight.com/scripter/docs/index.htm Happy scripting, Ray Gardener Daylon Graphics Ltd. -- cairo mailing list [email protected] http://lists.cairographics.org/mailman/listinfo/cairo
