I didn't even look at your patch, since my assumptions were wrong. Btw, there is a patchwork.freedesktop.org, which while it doesn't include cairo currently, I suppose could. I've been studying patchwork today in some depth, and I think it or something like it might help us in better tracking status on proposed patches. I'll be investigating this further as an ongoing task, as I have time. I'd like to find ways to make reviews more lightweight and improve transparency of the review status. Meantime, I think in general if you post a patch and it doesn't get some reply from me or someone else within a week or two, probably the best thing to assume is that none of us felt smart enough to comment on it, and/or possibly no one understood it.
