AFAIK there is no such option in Cairo to avoid the execution of a particular test.
I guess this is lacking, but which is required more often, to get rid-off problematic tests from execution. 
I'll try to add this feature to the Cairo tests asap.

Not having much luck running all the tests. It always hangs running 
self-copy.svg11.argb32 [0x1].

Can anybody tell me how to fix this or how to avoid running this test?

My changes potentially effect all backends so I would like to run as 
many tests as possible.
