[Website] Download of .xz archives appears to be buggy

Dear Cairo team,

I am attempting a download of
http://cairographics.org/releases/cairo-1.12.10.tar.xz (~40MB) without
success, whereas .sha1 file works fine.

So I have some questions or remarks.


   - Is this a known issue?
   - Maybe your webserver is configures to auto-decompress
   application/x-tar mime files?
   - Is their another download area/protocol which may work as a workaround?
