Certainly turning off antialiasing is one way to eliminate blur, but to me that seems totally beside the point. If someone wants antialiasing for other reasons, then they're left with this problem. I could see accepting a patch to add a short bit that turning anti-aliasing off as an alternative solution, although I'm skeptical that's going to be a practical solution for most people.
