yeah, that's how I'm doing it (according to some cairo-xcb examples).
it suspected that cairo-xcb is doing something to the window, but it
doesn't seem the case - just created yet another window w/o creating
an cairo surface ontop of it, getting the same effect.

so, the big question now is: how to create an xcb window with usual
window decorations ? do i have to add some atoms ?
