Hi all,

Back when Cairo was still using CVS there was a 'cairo-demos' repository
with some misc. interesting demos and examples.  Unfortunately that repo
seems to have disappeared off the net amongst the project moving to git
and so on.  I've restored it onto gitlab if anyone's interested:

  https://gitlab.com/cairo/cairo-demos

As well, I've tossed together a cairo-experimental repository.  I've
been investigating Vulkan for vector graphics, and stuck some code
there.  I've got some additional related experimental code (data
structures, fixed-point versions of some newer geometry code, meson
build system, etc.) I've been working on locally that I'll be posting
there as it gets a bit further along.
