Merge Requests for cairo

Hi everyone,

FYI: I just had merge requests for cairo enabled on GitLab:
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/cairo/cairo/merge_requests

We can try this feature out and still disable it later if needed. For
now, I am not quite sure where this is going, but hope that this might
improve coordination a bit. Let's see where this is going.
