In Linux systems, when entering composed characters (like =C3=A4 =C3=BC =C3=B4 =C3=BB etc.), = if the mouse pointer is outside the text widget then non accented characters are wrongly displayed. As you know, composed characters are needed in French, German and many other foreign languages. To reproduce: 1. Compile FOX (1.6 or 1.7) with --with-xim option: ./configure --with-xim make 2. Run adie and enter some composed characters (=C3=A4 =C3=BB =C3=B4 =C3=BC= ) text within the text widget with the *mouse pointer inside the text widget* =3D> works (=C3= =A4 =C3=BB =C3=B4 =C3=BC composed characters are correctly displayed) 3. Still in adie, enter some composed characters (=C3=A4 =C3=BB =C3=B4 =C3= =BC) text within the text widget with the *mouse pointer outside the text widget* =3D> does not work (a u o u are wrongly displayed instead of =C3=A4 =C3=BB =C3=B4 =C3=BC) My system: Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS FOX versions: 1.6.59, 1.7.85 I hope you could fix this annoying bug.
