Hi Current, Since AlgoArena was created by Swarthmore students in the Tri-College community, I wanted to reach out to Haverford alumni who care about founder-driven education technology. My co-founder Andy Luu and I built AlgoArena because we saw a gap. CS students and engineers have no single place to learn, compete, and prove their skills in a way that mirrors how they'll actually work with AI. We started with a simple idea at dinner - a 1v1 coding battle platform - and expanded it into a full platform with 10,000+ problems across 16 languages, ranked matchmaking, live classroom mode, and AI-native assessments that show how candidates think alongside AI tools. We've piloted Classroom mode with Prof. Michael Wehar at Bryn Mawr, hit 500+ users and 1,000+ matches, and placed 5th in the ICPC Mid-Atlantic division. The timing feels right. hiring teams are struggling to evaluate AI-fluency, educators want better tools for live coding instruction, and students want a platform that actually prepares them for the job market. Would you be open to a 15-minute call to discuss what we're building and why we think the Tri-College ecosystem is the right place to start.
