FYI there is an open source Cocoa app called FinkCommander which provides a front-end for fink which is nearly syntactically identical to apt-get. If this were ported to Debian it would make a nifty package manager for all Debian users: (screen shot) http://finkcommander.sourceforge.net/images/inspector.jpg
