Also, we're I fetched and installed gnustep-make-1.5.1, gnustep-base-1.5.1, gnustep-gui-0.8.3-1.i386.rpm and gnustep-gui-0.8.3-1.i386.rpm from http://ftpmain.gnustep.org/pub/gnustep/rpms/srpms/. But when I tried gnustep-back-0.8.3 from there too, it failed like so: Compiling file XGGLContext.m ... cc1obj: warning: changing search order for system directory "/usr/local/include" cc1obj: warning: as it has already been specified as a non-system directory XGGLContext.m: In function `-[XGGLContext initWithFormat:shareContext:]': XGGLContext.m:275: `GLX_RGBA_TYPE' undeclared (first use in this function) XGGLContext.m:275: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once XGGLContext.m:275: for each function it appears in.) make[3]: *** [shared_obj/ix86/linux-gnu/gnu-gnu-gnu/XGGLContext.o] Error 1 make[2]: *** [x11.all.subproject.variables] Error 2 make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/redhat/BUILD/gnustep-back-0.8.3/Source/x11' make[1]: *** [libgnustep-back.all.bundle.variables] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/redhat/BUILD/gnustep-back-0.8.3/Source' make: *** [internal-all] Error 2 error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.973 (%build) Have I missed something? Also, I noticed after installing Pantomime-1.1.0pre1 that the TODO list doesn't mention what I feel is the only serious problem with Pantomime: it uses far too much memory, because if you open a large mailbox it appears not to load the message bodies on demand, but as soon as you open the mailbox. This knocked it out of contention as a MUA for me, simply because it couldn't handle big mailboxes (50MB and up). It also makes it slow to open big ones. Because of the build problem, I didn't get a chance to see whether any work had been done on that issue. luke
