Hey Jack, just an update on this.  Myself and Riccardo Mottola have been
working on supporting MSYS2.  Additionally the installer you are using is VERY
VERY old so I am not surprised there are issues with it.  Please keep your eye
on the mailing list as I am making progress on a new installation script which
should make it much easier to get things working on Windows. :)
