OK. I asked just to be sure that you doesn't have unusual environment and to exclude a trivial cause. I tried to change the video mode on my notebooks by xvidtune but to no avail despite I used the modelines listed in Xorg logs. The only workable thing is switching between internal and external displays. Pixmaps didn't get invisible in this case. So I can only look at sources to figure out. -- Sergei Golovin
