Re: Upcoming GNUstep anniversary?

The other day I was in a second hand store talking to the owner who also owns the antique shop. I just happened to find a couple of hdmi splitters, and a short circuit dvd for which I had to go get cash across the street to buy. I appreciated the little journey of having to walk to the bank to get the money and come back.

So I came back and he said you know, I have a book written by somebody famous. Maybe you might know who this guy is. He showed me a signed copy of a GNU make manual. I didn’t ask if it was for sale I mean, of course I would’ve bought it, and I know that I would’ve read it cover to cover if I did. I was definitely like wow this is amazing. But I could tell that it meant something to him so I wouldn’t dare ask.

As small as an event as this was, I just thought this was really cool he had this and it prompted a very enjoyable conversation. Maybe it’s a silly idea but like a GNUstep show and tell? I don’t know probably a silly idea, but as far as anything written, I really like reading about the history of things.
