Re: Thoughts about GNUstep [off topic clarification]

just a correction to the statement

No, they are not taken on the site mentioned, but rather on 
nextcommunity.net at https://nextcommunity.net/forums/index.php?topic=83

Nonetheless, there haven't turned up any minutes yet for the last 
meeting recording. I guess 3 hours worth of audio/video is a bit too much.

The forum at nextcommunity.net is a rather recent development that 
started in autumn last year, after the administraitor (pun intended) at 
nextcomputers.org out of the blue started to cancel registrations of a 
group of members with more contemporary interests in regarding NeXTSTEP, 
and which includes GNUstep very much. This included canceling members 
like the main developer of the Previous NeXT emulator, and also minor 
contributors like yours truly.

The canceled contributors organized themselves and created their own 
thing. Recently born nextcommunity.net is a completely new and separate 
project from the old and access restricted nextcomputers.org, and has a 
much more openminded user base with a strong interest in GNUstep.

Involvement and engagement with the modern 
https://nextcommunity.net/forums (instead of the antiquated folks at 
nextcomputers.org) would probably be rather beneficial for GNUstep in 
the long run, simply because the target audience is much more future 
oriented than the NeXT-nostalgists of that old forum. The current forum 
administrators would be more than happy to accomodate a GNUstep sub 
forum if there is any interest by GNUstep people.

Please pardon the interruption, but this point needed to be made in 
order to clear up the apparent confusion regarding the two distinct forums.
