ProjectCenter launcher searches executable at the wrong place

Hi,

compiling a Tool in ProjectCenter, the executable is stored below the obj
directory in the source root.
then opening the launcher, pressing the launch button, ends up with the
following message in the launch window:

/usr/GNUstep/System/Tools/opentool[163]:
/home/sebastia/programming/filewriteread/filewriteread3/filewriteread3: not
found

where can I change the path where PC searches for the executable? haven't seen
anything in the preferences.
