Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately, no joy. I killed existing gdomap and gdnc, and restarted each with opentool: browning 24621 1 0 21:38 ? 00:00:00 /usr/GNUstep/System/Tools/gdomap browning 24636 1 0 21:38 pts/1 00:00:00 /usr/GNUstep/System/Tools/gdnc --daemon Same error. damn. The frustrating thing is I had a working install. I did a distclean reinstall as the result of a conversation on #gnustep to check if all would complie cleanly. I did, but now it won't start. Sometimes the daemons start on their own, but sometimes they don't. This is a convenience feature anyway.. Try starting it by hand and see if that helps. Also, I just compiled Ink and it works properly.
