Missing Requisites for Installing GNUstep from source

I'm currently attempting to get GNUstep to compile and run on OpenBSD 
3.8.  I have been following this information 
(http://wwwmain.gnustep.org/resources/downloads.php?site=http%3A%2F%2Farchive.progeny.com%2Fgnustep%2F), 
it mentions nothing about libpng being a prerequisite to install GNUstep 
GUI.  Also if you would know the maintainer for the install scripts for 
GNUstep Startup - I have a question for them.
