The easiest way to start would be to download GNUstep, install it, and try to write some simple applications in Objective-C. Look for some help and tutorials here: http://www.gnustep.org/developers/documentation.html This will help you get familiar with GNUstep and see where you could contribute. In the process, you might also discover problems with the installation or use of GNUstep that need to be fixed. At that point you can start submitting patches and fixes to us. Thanks for volunteering!
