ICU4C 3.2 d02 (beta) and ICU4J 3.2 d01 (alpha) releases available now

Dear friends and users of ICU,

We are pleased to announce that the d02 (beta) release of ICU4C Version 3.2
(http://oss.software.ibm.com/icu/) and d01 (alpha) release of ICU4J Version 3.2
(http://oss.software.ibm.com/icu4j/) are now available.

The ICU4C beta release 3.2 is available on our public web sites,
http://oss.software.ibm.com/icu/download/3.2/.
The ICU4J alpha release 3.2 is also available on our public web sites,
http://oss.software.ibm.com/icu4j/download/3.2/.

Please use our bug reporting tool and support mailing lists, see
http://oss.software.ibm.com/icu/

If you plan or consider to use ICU 3.2, then please download and test it at
your earliest convenience.

Please submit bugs, porting changes and fixes(!) by Monday 11/15/2004.

Features of this reference release will include:
     * ICU locale data is now completely built from the CLDR 1.2  data
     * ICU4J now supports RFC 3066 locales
     * Major overhaul of ICU's Users Guide  production tools.  We now use Open
Office and source files are publicly available
     * Universal Timescale conversions
     * DateTimeFormat object initialization performance improvement
     * Reduction in size of executables that statically link to ICU
     * Additional platform ports
     * Bug fixes
