Ich habe gerade mal in die changelog.Debian.gz für libusb-0.1-4 geschaut:

libusb (2:0.1.10a-20) unstable; urgency=low

  * Changed priority to important.
  * Applied patch by Kay Sievers <[email protected]> to prepare for the
    upcoming changes in the Linux USB core, which will create real device
    nodes in /dev with udev.

Es könnte also durchaus sein, dass Debian/unstable /proc/usb gar nicht mehr 
braucht?
