hi, i'll try to translate my german-posting. perhaps then somebody can help me. i tried to connect my chipcard-reader with libchipcard to my computer, but without success. it looks like libchipcard doesn't even try to use the serial port. (there is no output for "cat /dev/ttyS0" and there isn't a "port busy"-message for the command, but there is such a message for the cardping-tool from kobil). i already read some postings in the internet, but there i couldn't find a solution. i also tried to change the "port" in the config-file from 1 to 10 or so. at last i tried to install libchicard3 (at the moment there is libchipcard2 installed on a Debian Etch system), but also without success. my config-files are there: http://nopaste.debianforum.de/5494 my chipcard-reader: i think it's a "Kobil Kaan Standard Plus". (serial+ps2) here, i found a picture it looks like: http://www.linux-magazin.de/var/linux_magazin/storage/images/media/linux_magazin/ausgabe/2003/08/kartenspiele/abb3_jpg/34925-1-ger-DE/abb3_jpg.jpg hope, somebody can help --- krumpi ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
