Hi,

I have a problem with a towitoko reader, connected to /dev/ttyS0 (COM 1).

I start the server as root:
chipcardd2 --pidfile /var/run/chipcardd2.pid --loglevel notice --logtype
console

chipcard-tool lists the reader correctly:
chipcard-tool list
Server: 42de4001
  Readers:
  - towitoko2 (tow_cdm, port 0)

But "chipcard-tool check" (running as root) fails with the following message:

chipcard-tool check
  Readers:
  - towitoko2 (tow_cdm, port 0): error
Event log:
14:14:59 Reader is down
14:14:59 Reader started
14:15:01 Reader error (Transmission error (please check file access rights))

ls -l /dev/ttyS0
crw-rw---- 1 root dialout 4, 64 2005-07-20 14:15 /dev/ttyS0
So permissions seems to be ok for me.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
Johannes
