Ich mache die Updates immer mit "rpm -U *.rpm".

Verstehe ich nicht, anscheinend sendet der Client zwar noch das 
StopWait-Kommando (nachdem er die Karte als DDV1-Karte erkannt hat), aber 
dann kommt nix mehr... Kannst Du das mal mit einem hoeheren Loglevel 
probieren (gct-tool showuser) ?
