Hi,

I downloaded all the necessary debian packages from

I also followed the instructions given on
http://www.libchipcard.de/installhelp/installation.html . Because
there's a linux driver for my SCR335 I downloaded, compiled and
installed it. Now I have a module scr3xxx when executing command
"lsmod". My kernel version is 2.6.8-2-k7.

The package libsysfs1 is also installed on my computer. So the
prerequisites for usb auto detection should be given. I don't know if
there should be a module like "sysfs" running. At least I haven't seen
one...

When starting my libchipcard server daemon with

/usr/sbin/chipcardd2 --pidfile /var/run/chipcard2/chipcard2.pid -f
--loglevel notice --logtype console

I get the following output:

When I run chipcard-tool check I get (on the server log)

In the logs it is said that I don't have a DeviceManager and
ServiceManager section. Could that relate to my problem?

I also tried to add the reader manually. But then it says:

root@EssE:/usr/share/doc/libchipcard2-0c102# chipcardd2 addreader
--dtype scm33x_ifd --rtype scm_scr335 --rname scr
ERROR: The low-level driver provided by the manufacturer
is not installed on your system.
Please visit the manufacturer's site at
     http://www.scmmicro.com/
to download the driver.
root@EssE:/usr/share/doc/libchipcard2-0c102#

Although I copied the compiled driver files (scr3xxx.ko and scr3xxx.o)
to chipcardd2 addreader --dtype scm33x_ifd --rtype scm_scr335 --rname
scr

Do I use the wrong driver?

Could you please give me some hints?

Thanks
Mathias
