SMTP chunking

I have had some problems that have been resolved by turning off
"experimental support for SMTP chunking". As this is experimental,
should it be turned off in the default build? 

I've just commented out "#define USE_CHUNKING" in config.h. Is this how
it should be done, or can I tell configure to remove this feature?
