clockspeed and laptop/powersave cpu's

Hello!

at the moment I start to roll out clockspeed as the general
solutions for time sync in our institute.
But I am not sure if clockspeed will work reliable on the
cpu's which are able to scale down the cpu clock to save
energy. 

Today I don't think that it is a big problem because we
use it only for linux (and in the near future on sparc/solaris)
which both don't support powersaving very well.

But if there is a general problem I would try to prepare my
start up scripts.
