After reading this, I realize that I'm confused about the use of the
"right" timezone subdirectory.

On my system, I'm running 'clockspeed' (version 0.62) to keep my system
clock set to TAI (well, TAI adjusted to the New York timezone,
actually).

However, my /etc/localtime file is not pointing to anything in the
"right" tree, but rather to /usr/share/zoneinfo/America/New_York.

And yet, unlike Luca Morettoni, when I run the following command, all
times in the resulting message are the same, including in the "Date:"
header:

 (sntpclock 209.51.161.238 | clockview; date) | mail -s x [email protected]

Therefore, it appears that I don't need the "right" settings in order
for my system times to always show up correctly.  How could this be?
