You need to get your system clock to TAI _in order to be able to_ have
your human-readable clock set to UTC correctly (and be able to subtract
dates to get time ranges; e.g. if you were to calculate my age on a
system whose kernel clock is not set to TAI you were off by 12 or so
seconds already).
