Greetz, I've configured clockspeed to function as the master time server for my LAN and have successfully synced time up from one of my *NIX clients. Testing in another environment has shown that syncing time from Windows 2000 clients is proving more difficult for us. In my own efforts I've tried using a handful of different Win32 clients (dimension 4, netime, etc.) and failed connection. I see different settings to connect over TCP Time, UDP Time, and SNTP but have not been successful with any of these settings. I have the master connected out to a clock server on our ISP and synced. He is running taiclockd to advertise the time to our clients. Our *nix clients are using taiclock to sync their time from the master. Now I don't know how to get our Windows clients to sync off the taiclockd. Part of my confusion is determining which TCP or UDP port taiclockd is bound to. I show a TCP/37 connection open, but it appears to be originating from inetd (so not clockspeed) What I'd like to find out is 1.) How to determine which port it is running on my default, and 2.) How to sync Windows clients up against our taiclockd master time server. TIA for any help. -- Darren Spruell www.sancho2k.net
