I've just discovered that it enters an eternal loop in
HTSSLWriter_write(), when it encounters an error situation, and
decides to close the socket.

Then it uses a _lot_ of CPU.

But that probably wasn't what you was thinking about...:-)

libwww is a unique library.  But it hasn't been maintained by anybody
for two years, and that's starting to show.
