Hi Desmond,

I've been subscribed to both the BOOST (for uBLAS):

  http://boost.org/

and MTL lists for over a year and while MTL isn't completely "dead" I've
seen only a dozen or so posts per year.

I suggest you look at the uBLAS

  http://boost.org/libs/numeric/ublas/doc/index.htm

class library thats a part of BOOST, particularly if you're looking for
a more active development community.
