I don't know anything about QT. Sometimes libraries allow you to exclude troublesome macro definitions by defining a preprocessor symbol. For example windows.h has definitions for min and max macros. You can suppress them by defining preprocessor symbol NOMINMAX in your project settings. Perhaps QT has a similar feature. I suggest you restore the MTL min and max functions to avoid future pain.
