Fedora Core 3 & GCC 3.4.2

Six months ago Allen Yao posted the following:

Even though it is 6 months later...

I just loaded Fedora Core 3 on a box and it uses GCC 3.4.2 and have hit the 
same problem.

Did you find a solution Alan?
