Yes,

It worked!

Now I'm trying to install itl, but after
./configure --with-mtl=$ITL_PATH/mtl-2.1.2-22
and
make install
I get

cd . && automake --foreign --include-deps Makefile
configure.in:225: error: AC_LANG: unknown language:
autoconf/lang.m4:123: _AC_LANG_SET is expanded from...
autoconf/lang.m4:132: AC_LANG is expanded from...
aclocal.m4:41: AC_ITL_TRY_COMPILE is expanded from...
configure.in:225: the top level
autom4te: /usr/bin/m4 failed with exit status: 1
automake: autoconf failed with exit status: 1
make: *** [Makefile.in] Error 1

I've seen a comment on using old version of automake and autoconf,
are there other workarounds? (I have automake 1.9 and autoconf 2.59)
