Hi, Yes. The application is exactly the same. It is the Citrix Linux receiver. All I did was replacing the pcscd and pcsclite.so between 1.8.8 and 1.6.4. I suspect that the working 1.6.4 was patched. Because I built the 1.6.4 from the source and the result is same as 1.8.8. I wonder if there was such patch or not. Are you sure it is the SAME application in both cases?
