Thanks for your response. I've tried to use the reader on another system with
all packages installed from the repos but the problem persists.

I'm trying to send some data to the card using gscriptor. For example,
sending "FF CA 00 00 00" should yield the card serial number.

When using protocol T=RAW, I can connect to the reader but I get the card
not transacted error when I send data (which I mentioned in my previous
post). When I use T=1, I cannot connect to the reader. The error I get in
this case is 'card unrepsonsive'. When using T=0 I get a card protocol
mismatch.
