The patch you indicated doesn't improve on my fix from last week
(because it relies on an assumption which I'm unsure is true),
and reading through

I see that it has a few more lines changed - but modifies code that
probably wasn't tested (the changes to USE_SYSMOUSE and M_TERM_DRIVER).

(in any case, it's not relevant to the out-of-order events)
