Clone the repo

Hi

I have never used GIT before and I'm probably doing something stupid.

I've downloaded Git for Windows and from a command shell issued the command

clone git://sourceware.org/newlib-cygwin.git

This replies with

Cloning into 'newlib-cygwin'...
fatal: unable to connect to sourceware.org:
sourceware.org[0: 209.132.180.131]: errno=Invalid argument

Any ideas
