force units on motors?

What is the force/torque unit expected for dParamFMax?  I saw a thread
earlier regarding units which said everything is expected as SI and
referencing http://physics.nist.gov/cuu/Units/units.html.  Force there
is defined as Newtons (N=kg*m/s^2).

I'm looking to model a motor where the stall torque was given in km*cm
and I convert to kg*m for ODE.  If force is expected in Newtons, what
do I do with kg*m?
