Hi Chris,

I've modified the /etc/openal/alsoft.conf to disable the mmap feature. Is it ok?

I'll run several test to see if these modifications work or not.

Also, when the application is unable to play any sound, I can play some wavs from outside the application.

It would be helpful to know if the same happens when ALSA mmap is disabled (I 
probably asked last time the issue came up, but I can't find the emails). To 
disable it, add these lines to ~/.alsoftrc:

[alsa]
mmap = off

If it doesn't have a problem after that, I may be best off just disabling mmap 
by default, since it seems to be giving people problems.
