Try https://github.com/garinh/openal-soft if you like -- the OpenAL-Soft code there is a bit out of date, but it would be easy to merge what you find at github with the existing code. Almost all the important changes are confined to one new file -- the CoreAudio backend. Last I used it, the implementation worked just fine for my purposes, but if you make improvements I'd love to integrate them.
