Hello again! I have attached our asound.conf and output from aplay -vv plus versions of libopenal and libasound The alsoft.conf have the following settings active format = AL_FORMAT_71CHN16 drivers = alsa [alsa] device = SAAB93 #see /etc/asound.conf for reference all other settings use the default values. Best regards I hope this will clarify some details about our system On Saturday, May 05, 2012 10:39:16 PM david hilbert wrote: > Hi all! > > We have created a very small piece of software on an ubuntu 10.04 machine > using AL to play and position sound. Typically an error like that would mean there's an issue with the device, or something OpenAL Soft itself sets in combination with the device that it doesn't quite like. There's nothing specific to an app using OpenAL that should be able to cause it, though (this stuff is sufficiently abstracted away), Can you say what sound hardware you have? Do you use PulseAudio? What version of OpenAL Soft? Do you have any special settings in ~/.alsoftrc or /etc/openal/alsoft.conf? _______________________________________________ Openal mailing list [email protected] http://opensource.creative.com/mailman/listinfo/openal Vidarebefordrat brev: > Från: Anders Genell <[email protected]> > Datum: 7 maj 2012 13:40:54 CEST > Till: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> > Ämne: sim3ljud > > > > > _______________________________________________ Openal mailing list [email protected] http://opensource.creative.com/mailman/listinfo/openal
